With regards to the events of the Twilight fandom recently, we, the administrators of several websites, have heard your pleas requesting something be done to support Stephenie. So, to answer the question of "what can we do" that we have heard repeatedly over the last twenty-four hours, we propose the following list of suggestions. Feel free to participate in one or all of the events.

- Participate in a "We support Stephenie Meyer" video. All you have to do is send a picture of yourself showing support to twilightthanks@gmail.com and put "VIDEO" in the subject line. Be creative with your show of support, but make sure it is a still photograph and not an actual video. We will take the photos and make them into a video that will later be posted on You Tube.
- For those of you graphics people who want to do something, we have another idea. We are going to make a virtual quilt. Send a 200 X 200 support graphic to twilightthanks@gmail.com and we will work it into a virtual support quilt. Make sure you put "QUILT" in the subject line.
- On Saturday Sept. 13, in honor of Bella’s birthday, wear a twilight themed t-shirt to show your love of the series. If you work or have other obligations that won’t allow you to wear a Twilight shirt, wear all black, white, and red to show your support.
All entries for the video or quilt must be submitted by Wednesday Sept. 3, 2008. You are certainly welcome to do one in each category, but that is by no means a requirement. Also please submit each item in a separate email as it will make our sorting go faster. If there is some sort of detail we left out that you need help with, email twilightthanks@gmail.com with "HELP" in the subject line and we’ll see what we can do.

Responding To Comments On The Ship Date Of The Ring Twilight Books
|
I’m posting in response to several comments about the delivery date of the ring. It would be irresponsible for me on many levels to announce a specific ship date at this time. That being said, the ship date is fast approaching. The six-week mark is September 5th, and we are working closely with our supplier to ensure we can start shipping these rings at about that time. We are committed to making sure the delivery date does not slip, especially considering the conundrum we had with our server when we initially launched the ring sales. It may be hard for you to believe, but we are more anxious to ship than you guys. We’re almost there. It won’t be much longer.

New Site Preview Available! The Store

We are making avialable to you a preview of our new store site. We want to get an idea from our customers about the new look and feel for the store. Now, the new store is not completely finished, yet, and we are aware that there are still a number of issues that we need to take care of. What we’re hoping for is some constructive feedback on the overall appearance of the store as well as ease of navigation.
Keep in mind that there are some things you cannot do on the new site. But there are also a number of things you CAN do. Here’s the lowdown on all of that.
What you CAN do:
- You can browse the catalog. In fact, we encourage you to do this. We need feedback on the new category navigation menu on the side. We’d love to hear your insights on the new layout of the store, too.
- You can register on the site. In fact, we encourage you to do this, too. When we do the final switchover to the new software, you’ll need to re-register anyway.
- You can do pretty much anything that you could do on the old store. Except of course, for the things that are listed under the section below. Which brings us to…
What you CAN’T do:
- You can’t place new orders. In fact, if you do, they will be ignored. So don’t do it. Use our main store site to do that.
- You can’t check on the status of past orders. This new software uses a completely different database structure than the old stuff did, and the two are not compatible. We could transfer information, but I’m afraid that the cost and time required to do so is too prohibitive.
So please, look around the new shop. Tell us what you think. We look forward to hearing your comments.

Dave Barry and the Twilight Teez Dave Barry, The Store
|
In November of 2007, I had the distinct pleasure of meeting one of my favorite authors. His name is Dave Barry, and I met him at a book signing at The Poisoned Pen in Tempe, Arizona. I was wearing a custom shirt that I had made for the event, a shirt of which I am sad to say probably won’t get to be worn again. But it was inspired by all of those "All I need to know in life, I learned from…" types of posters. My particular shirt says this:
Everything I learned in life, I learned by reading Dave Barry.
Such as:
- It’s possible to get paid to say the word "booger".
- The Great Leaning Tower of PIsa Controversy.
- Genes can be dominant or recessive, depending on which kind they are.
- Sometimes dogs have brains, and sometimes they don’t. But mostly, they don’t.
- There are lots of phrases that also, coincidentally, make great rock band names.
I wore this shirt to the signing, and it received a lot of compliments. Dave saw it and greatly appreciated it. I took the opportunity to briefly, if not quickly, broach the subject of making shirts for him based on his work. To my great surprise, he was keen on the idea. And thus started a process of negotiations which, I am happy to report, has resulted in a new agreement between Twilight Teez and Dave Barry.
So it is with great pleasure that I am able to announce that Twilight Teez will soon be offering new shirts in the coming months with famous Dave Barry quotes on them. We are in the very beginning phase with this, and have just barely started discussing some ideas. Dave has recently flown to China with his family where he intends to drink lots of Chinese beer and possibly cover the olympics. But we hope to catch up to him and have some new products on our site with his name on them in time for the Christmas season.
By the way, for those of you who have no idea who Dave Barry is, I highly encourage you to follow the links below. He is a very funny man in a very genious sort of way.
