Put Your Hands Together For Adam Keith! News, Not Twilight Related, The Blog
|
I would like to take the opportunity now to announce to the world that on August 8, 2007, my newest son was born to our family. Adam Keith is his name, and the world better watch out because he’s here to rock. I don’t have a lot of time right now to tell his entire birth story, so I’ll be brief.
No, wait, there’s not time for that. So let me sum up.
Basically, Adam had decided to arrive about five weeks early. Our little town’s hospital is not equipped to care for babies born at that stage of development, so Sharon was sent to Tucson Medical Center in – get this – Tucson, Arizona. She got to ride in the helicopter for this (color me jealous). I drove, so it took me about an hour longer to get to the hospital.
The short end is Adam was born at 9:35 AM on 8-August-2007. Being early meant he might have had lung development issues, but he’s breathing well now and looking incredible. He is 4 years and 1 day younger than his oldest sister (this will make birthdays fun, no?). He’s a trooper, and I will give more details about his very adventurous first day on the Earth later.
One thing that this is going to affect is our ability to process orders. Obviously our lives have been disrupted slightly and quite unexpectedly, and will remain so for the next few days. During this time, our ability to fulfill your orders will also be disrupted. We understand that you’re anxious to receive your products, but we hope you’ll understand that it’s going to be a few more days before we can pack and ship them. Your patience on this will be greatly appreciated, and we promise to get back into the swing of things as soon as we can. We do have help on the way, and hope to get things caught up and back to normal very soon. We expect to be able to start fulfilling your orders by the beginning of the week (August 13).
Our sale started out fantastically – more so than we anticipated. We received over 40 orders on the day it started; a volume we haven’t seen since we opened our doors on January 25 of this year. That’s a lot of orders, but we will get on top of them as soon as we can and get those out to you shortly. Again, your patience will be greatly appreciated.
On a final note, I noticed that Adam had started a diary already. I couldn’t hide my curiousity of what an infant would write on his first day of life, so I peaked. Yesterday’s entry said “Day 1 – still tired from the move.â€Â*

*My apologies to Steven Wright
Update: I feel that it is important for me to clarify something. Let me state, for probably the millionth time, that Twilight Teez is not, I repeat, not run by Stephenie Meyer. Our little company is based out of our home, located in Sunny Sierra Vista, Arizona, in the United States – a good 3 hours away from where Mrs. Meyer and her family live. Therefore, this birth announcement does not mean that Stephenie Meyer has had a baby. As far as I know she is not expecting one anytime soon. And if she was, I’m sure she would announce it either via her own personal web site, or through many of the fansites around the Internet.

We Were On A Major Television News Show! Shirts and stuff, Stephenie Meyer
|
Okay, technically speaking, we weren’t. But Stephenie was, and so were some very lovely young ladies wearing some very familiar t-shirts.
As so many of you know, Stephenie Meyer appeared on a short segment of Good Morning America, today. And I happen to know from a conversation with her that she was “absolutely terrified” of the interview. However, if she was nervous, she didn’t show it. She looked radiant, and I’m not just saying that to stay on her good side. Congratulations to you, Stephenie!
But truthfully, how many have lived on this Earth who never had even the slightest hint of selfishness? Personally, I can think of only one, and that person isn’t me. So, can you blame us for noticing the fact that three people were wearing Twilight Teez shirts? We counted one Edward Fan Club, one Runs with Vampires, and one Eclipse Prom.ÂÂ
Now, granted, all of these shirts are seen from a distance but if you look at the Good Morning Video, found here, from the camera angle that shows a long shot of Stephenie and you can see both the Eclipse cover and the New Moon cover, you will see two young women standing to Stephenie’s right (left side of the screen). One of the young ladies is wearing a Runs with Vampires shirt, and the other is wearing an Eclipse Prom shirt. And the young lady who answers the question from the interviewer about “what’s so special about Bella?” is wearing an Edward shirt. Granted, it’s covered by the banner on the screen, but the long shots make it quite clear.
You know, if you’d have said to me a year ago that I would have some of my own shirts appearing on Good Morning America, I would have said, “Yes, okay. And what have you been smoking?” I understand that truthfully, the shirts are really an extension of Stephenie Meyer, but still. This is quite a big thrill for us, and truly a dream come true. Our thanks go out to Stephenie Meyer, and to all of you who have helped us build our business and have been so kind and patient with us during these last six months.
Now, go enjoy your new Eclipse books!
